Started in 1996 by a group of volunteers in New Jersey,
Provider Appreciation Day is appropriately celebrated each year on the Friday
before Mother’s Day. The founding organizers saw the need to recognize the
tireless efforts of providers who care for children of working parents.
Parents are children’s first and most important teachers
but regular caregivers, child care providers and early learning teachers are a
close second. It takes a dedicated,
energetic and giving person to guide, play, redirect, comfort and teach our
littlest learners…not to mention, the immune system of a super hero!
Thank you for your commitment, your love for the children
in your care, and for the positive impact you have on our children.
